Today I attended a very useful event at Idea Store, a library in Whitechapel. Simone Vicenzi delivered a seminar about selling, in which we had the opportunity in pairs to discuss ideas about our respective businesses and share with Simone questions, ideas and suggestions.
Living in London has the benefit of having many opportunities to share ideas with different people, with different backgrounds and experiences. Every time I attend an event is an opportunity to challenge my ideas, to think a bit more about them. In this case, I had the opportunity to use a very useful tool that Simone explained to think about prospects, the product, the selling conversation... all of that packaged in a very friendly and well organized session.
When learning and entertainment comes together, the session becomes a type of feel good movie, in which you don´t only enjoy but also learn something and feel grateful about it.
In this occasion, I learnt not only about selling and also used it with practical purposes for my benefit, but also enjoy the diversity of an Italian facilitator. One of the ideas during the session was about the importance of the emotional factors in the process of selling. For today, I had the opportunity to attend two different events. How did I decide which one to attend? I decided to watch some videos and probably, it was the warmth and friendly approach of the presenter that made decide to attend this event, as I really tend to enjoy all these type of seminars, as they are very good opportunities to think, to learn from the presenter and from others, as well as having new thoughts and ideas that have practical application on my life.
The following is the video I watched, what probably proves that is the emotional aspects such as being friendly and funny that can make you "decide" what to do:
